Round Table for the International Day of Women and Girls in Science – PhotoniCat

The PhotoniCat Student Chapter is organizing a special event to celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. The event will feature a round table discussion with invited researchers and professors, followed by a networking coffee break, providing a space for conversation and experience-sharing between scientists and students.

🕛 Schedule:

• 12:00 – 12:05 PM → Welcome

• 12:05 – 12:20 PM → Introduction of guest researchers

• 12:20 – 1:20 PM → Round table discussion

• 1:20 – 1:25 PM → Purple Point: What can I do if I witness or experience harassment?

• 1:25 – 2:00 PM → Networking coffee break

This event is a unique opportunity to learn about the work and experiences of researchers with different career paths within academia. The discussion will cover key topics such as the role of women in academia, challenges in balancing personal and professional life, and other relevant issues.
